Set for December 15-16, Winter Jam features 300 drivers on six different courses. Drivers first complete individual runs to receive initial scores. After passing through the first round, drifters go head-to-head in tandem drifts, upping the skill factor and excitement.

Drifting involves balancing the car’s speed while countersteering through turns. Drivers must carefully adjust the pressure on the throttle while countersteering, so the car doesn’t spin out or straighten up while going through the turn. Drifters are judged subjectively for parameters including drifting angle, speed, style, show factor, and adherence to the course outlines.
